The Oxford Millenium Orchestra presents A Night with the Rat Pack - From Gershwin to Sinatra with OMO & OUBB at the Sheldonian Theatre at 8pm

Saturday June 10Mark Simpson

Music at Oxford presents Mark Simpson (Clarinet) - BBC Young Musician of the Year 2006 at the Jacqueline du Pre Music Building at 7:30pm.

The Oxford Muslim Music Festival
takes place at the Oxford Town Hall, starting at 4pm.

The Oxford Millennium Opera performs The Marriage of Figaro at Merton College Chapel at 7:30pm.

Oxford Big Village presents Wayang Golek at the Wesley Memorial Church at 7:30pm.

Oxford Philomusica continues their Mainly Mozart Festival 2006 at the O'Reilly Theatre at Keble College at 8pm.

What's in the Cinema this week (June 9 - 15)?

RV PosterOpening this week is comedy RV starring Robin Williams as a workaholic father who drags his family on a holiday in a campervan against their will. Predictably, one disaster follows another. The film is certified PG, runs 98 minutes, and contains mild language and sex references.

Omen Poster

Also opening in wide release this week is the remake of the horror film The Omen. The film is about a child raised by a family after his mother and the family's child both die in birth. It isn't until years and several bloody murders later that they realise the child is the son of satan. Containing strong violence and horror themes, the film is certified 15 and runs for 110 minutes.
