Father's Day This Sunday - June 18th

Looking for something do do with Dad this Sunday? Why not take him to the Kite Extravaganza at Blenheim Palace - kite demonstrations at 1:30pm and 3pm, sky diving demonstrations at 2:30pm. Bring your own kite or buy one there. Picnic in the gardens, or have lunch at one of the Palace cafes.

What's in the Cinema this week? (June 16 - 22)

Fast and the Furious PosterOpening this week is the high octain sequel The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, starring Bow Wow, Lucas Black, and Zachery Ty Bryan. The film follows a man who goes to live with his uncle in Japan in order to escape a jail sentence, and winds up getting caught up in the underground car-racing scene. This film runs 104 minutes and contains moderate violence. Certified 12A

Hard Candy PosterAlso opening this week is the US indie film Hard Candy. Ellen Page stars as a teenage girl who meets an older man on the internet, and assuming he's a paedophile, charms her way into his trust before spiking his drink and torturing him. The film runs 99 minutes and contains strong sadistic violence. Certified 18.
