- Music at Oxford presents the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment at the Sheldonian Theatre at 8pm.
- Music Of Romance, including Schubert, Ravel, Puccini, and Mozart, is performed at Trinity College for FREE at 8pm
- Summer Serenade at the Jacqueline du Pre Music Building at 8pm.

Saturday, July 1
Oxford Philomusica performs the last installment of the Mainly Mozart Festival 2006 at the Jacqueline du Pre Music Building at 8pm

Sunday, July 2
Oxford Lieder performs an Oxford Song Evening at the Holywell Music Room at 8pmStart your day with a Coffee Concert - The Adderbury Ensemble performs at the Holywell Music Room at 11:15am.

Fireman Sam
It's fun day in Pontypandy. Elvis Cridlington is in charge of the barbecue, Penny Morris is doing her keep fit demonstration and Dilys Price is providing the 'Hook a Duck Pool' and 'Coconut Shies'. Naughty Norman Price and his friend Mandy are having lots of fun chasing Woolly, Norman's pet lamb, who keeps escaping. It's not long before Fireman Sam and Jupiter, the bright red fire engine are called to the rescue... This show for all ages is full of fun, humour, adventure and audience participation. Sun 2 July

The Jungle Book
Rudyard Kipling's classic story about Mowgli, a young boy who is raised in the jungle by a family of wolves. When Shere Khan the tiger swears to kill the child, Baloo and Bagheera agree to take to boy to the man village for his safety. But the jungle holds danger and surprises for them all and Mowgli's amazing adventure has just begun! Tue 4 July - Sat 8 July

Twaddle, Babble, Jabber and Pap
In the Realm of Tales, the Storyboard Commission has discovered that the popularity ratings of stories being read to children in ‘sector 4’ has hit an all time low - it may have something to do with the Fairy Godmother’s tongue piercing and Little Red Riding Hood’s new green hair, or then again it could just be the introduction of the new post millennium edition X Box….who can say. Agents Twaddle, Babble, Jabber and Pap are dispatched to find out what’s going on. They discover things are much more serious than they could ever have imagined. Ages 8+ Tue 27 June - Sat 01 July

What's in the Cinema this week? (June 30 - July 6)

Just My Luck PosterOpening this week is Just My Luck, starring Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine. A young woman in Manhattan is blessed with good luck. Then she meets a guy with a lot of bad luck at a masquerade ball. After they kiss, they discover that their fortunes have changed. This film is certified PG, runs 103 minutes, and contains mild language and sex references.

Friends with Money PosterAlso opening this week (at the Vue only) is Friends With Money, starring Jennifer Aniston, Frances McDorman, Joan Cusack, and Catherine Keener. The film is a drama about three married women, their husbands, and their lone single friend. Certified 15, the film runs 1 hour 28 minutes, and contains strong language and sex references.

Pirates of the Caribbean PosterThursday sees the much anticipated opening of Pirates of the Caribbeah: Dead Man's Chest, starring Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, and Orlando Bloom. Captain Jack Sparrow returns in another supernatural adventure owing a blood debt to Davey Jones, captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman. Will and Elizabeth’s wedding plans get wrecked in the process? The film is certified 12A, runs 149 minutes, and contains moderate horror and action-adventure violence.
