What's in the Cinemas This Week (Fri 24 - Thu 30 Oct)?

Ghost TownGhost Town (12A) starring Ricky Gervais, Greg Kinnear. Contains infrequent strong language. When Bertam Pincus (Ricky Gervais) is brought back to life, he has developed an annoying ability to see ghosts, and they all want favours, especially Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear). Desperate to regain control of his life, Pincus must stop the impending marriage of Frank's widow, putting him squarely in the middle of a love triangle.

Saw VSaw V (18) starring Julie Benz, Meagan Good, Scott Patterson, Shawnee Smith. Contains strong bloody violence. The nerve shredding fifth instalment of the 'Saw' franchise. Almost everyone who has tried to solve the jigsaw mystery is dead, and as the last person alive, Detective Hoffman must continue the legacy. Now, in 'Saw V' a new game is about to begin.

Quiet ChaosQuiet Chaos (15) starring Nanni Moretti, Valeria Golino, Isabella Ferrari, Alessandro Gassman. Highly acclaimed at this year's Berlin Film Festival, Grimaldi's serene drama tells the moving tale of a widower learning to integrate his grief with life as a single parent. Pietro Paladino (Moretti) struggles to connect with his 10-year-old daughter Claudia after the sudden death of his wife. On the day that Claudia returns to school Pietro decides to wait in the park across the street until she comes out again. And so begins his new routine: finding a sort of peace there, he returns to his bench every day. His friends, family and colleagues visit him to offer condolences and support but eventually each submits to his unflappable composure, unloading their own woes on him. Moretti's stunning central performance carries this film through to a touching finale.
