It’s hardly sunbathing weather, but this deckchair is more of a collector’s item than a piece of furniture. Van Morrison, Keane, James Arthur and Imelda May are amongst the star acts at last year’s Cornbury Music Festival who signed the chair to help raise funds for the Helen & Douglas House children’s and young adults’ hospice.
To get a chance to win the raffle for this chair and a holiday in the Caribbean, join the audience at the charity’s Childish Things comedy and music fundraiser on Tuesday 25th March at the New Theatre in Oxford, when the line-up will feature Jimmy Carr and Rob Brydon. Tickets start at £25 and are available for both the 24th and 25th from the New Theatre Box Office on George Street, Oxford or via http://www.newtheatreoxford.org.uk
Tickets are also now on sale for the glorious Cornbury Music Festival held in the stunning Great Tew Park near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire on the first weekend of July (4-6). The 11th Festival is shaping up to be another amazing event with its tried and tested mix of rock legends, chart-topping popstars and exciting new talent. The full line-up will be announced in the first week of March.
Last year’s Festival helped various charities, including Helen & Douglas House, raise £25,000, which added to monies raised previously brings the event’s total to more than £275,000 over the past decade.
