'One Sunday (28/12/08) me and my partner visited the Cafe, our advice is as follows: Dress warm because its quite chilly in there; Bring you own sauce if you like food with flavour; The waitresses were unhelpful, sulky and displayed discontent being of service. We ordered the big breakfast, and BLT bagel so if you have your heart set on this place I recommend trying something else on their menu. I’m not an internet user, I’m just a regular person that enjoys life and doest usually complain unless the experience is quite exceptional! This was our first visit to this beautiful city and the first place we went. It really hindered an unforgivable dampener on our day! ‘There aren’t that many places in Oxford to get a good breakfast before 10am, but that’s not the reason why I like the News Cafe - I like it because the food is good and the service is pretty quick, depending on how many other customers are there at the time. There’s plenty of reading material for when I dine alone. They do like to use butter, however, so if you want dry toast or mushrooms not swimming in butter, make sure to mention that when ordering. ‘
